From desktop computers to phones and tablets, solitaire has been a common game since Microsoft introduced it to PCs in 1990. That's why you have to move at least 1 card before hitting New Deal.Solitaire has been a staple of digital gaming since the 1990s, when Microsoft introduced it to PCs to teach people how to use a mouse. Which is understandable since you aren't actually playing, just redealing the cards. I have tested out just tapping New Deal over and over again as fast as I could, but doing so did not change the counter on the Achievement. You can check your progress in the Main Menu, under Achievements, then scroll down to Journeyman, it will show XXXX/10000. From 0 games to 10000 will take about 28 hours to do using this method. Select Yes - Repeat until achievement pops I was averaging about 10 seconds per game (give or take a few seconds), from the second the game starts the deal, to starting a new game. You will get a warning asking you if you are sure you want to start a new game, as doing so will be counted as loss. Start a new game - Move 1 card - Tap the screen to bring up the 4 options at the bottom and select New Deal (the plus sign in a circle). So pick any of the 5 games you want to grind on, doesn't matter which one. Now one of the good things about grinding this is that you don't actually have to win the games (at least if you don't care about your win percentage), you just have to start and play them. While going for the other achievements, such as medals and wins you will have at least 1,000 games played before you need to start grinding. But for those of you who are like myself and do not have a Windows 8 computer, you will have to grind out 10,000 played games and this will probably be the last achievement you get. As Dancsi27 said in his guide, this achievement is actually very easy if you have both a Windows Phone 8 and a PC with Windows 8 on it.
